Artist Bio

To Donna, Art is all about engagement: Engagement with the process, the materials, and the environment. Donna's multi-discipline practice finds inspiration in the mundane and often overlooked everyday world.  The world of puddles with oil slicks, peeling paint, rusty metal, gnarled wood, frayed fabric, old photos, and paper scraps. Donna's artwork uses collage, printmaking, fabric design, and acrylic pouring techniques.  Switching between processes keeps Donna's mind sharp and her focus fresh.

Donna's work is mainly abstract and usually untitled.  She strives to present the viewer with something that will engage them while inviting them to interpret what they see on their terms, an extension of her belief that art is all about engagement.
